UUC Social Action Collection Sponsor Endorsements
For Program Year:  July 2023 to June 2024
Submission due by:  June 5, 2023

The UUCville Social Action Collection was established as a means to support the local non-profit organizations that our congregants are passionate about and involved in. Only organizations who have connections to the people in the congregation can apply. Each applicant needs two sponsors. Sponsors must have an established relationship with the organization as a volunteer, employee, and/or financial donor and will act as liaisons between UUCville and the organization.

This is your opportunity to advocate for and promote the good works of your organization to our congregation. As the liaison between UUCville and the organization, you are in the best position to help guide them in crafting a strong application that will appeal to UUCville members who will vote on the recipients. It's best if applications are kept brief, concise, and tell us how they are making a difference in our community. Tug at those heartstrings! Engaging narratives are more likely to be read and remembered. You are required to read the application and sign here that you have done so. In your own endorsement, please tell us why you love this organization. We want to know why it's special to YOU personally. (We already know what they do, so there is no need to repeat that.)

SAC Process and Deadlines
Sharing the Organization's Application:

Once the organization had filled out the application, they should “Submit” it. A copy of it will be emailed to them. They can then forward that email to you to review. All applications can be edited as often as desired up until the deadline of June 5th. Once you have read and approved the application, you can then complete your endorsement.

June 9 - Applications available on UUCville website for review
June 22, 7 pm - SJ Council "Pitch" Night to vote on 23-24 SAC recipients
Sponsor Responsibilities
Sponsors must have an established relationship with UUCville and with the organization.
Sponsors must read their organization's application and sign off on it.
Sponsors should attend the June Social Justice Council meeting on June 22, 2023 at 7pm via Zoom where the collection recipients are selected.  However, only members of UUCville may vote at this meeting. (Zoom link will be sent to you)
Invite others who also love your organization to join the June 22nd meeting to vote for your organization.
Sponsors may not sign more than 3 organization's/group’s applications.
