The Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling of North Carolina (ACAC-NC) is currently soliciting nominations for multiple leadership positions: President Elect, Secretary and three Trustee positions. You must be a member of NCCA and ACAC-NC to serve in one of the leadership positions
The President-Elect serves a two year term (July 2019-June 2021) and will assume the role of ACAC-NC President at the end of the elected term. The member elected may serve up to six years (President Elect, President, Past-President).
The Secretary is a Board Officer and serves a two-year term starting and ending in odd numbered years. The term for this position will be July 2019-June 2021 (or portion thereof). The Secretary shall keep record of the proceedings of the Board. The Secretary shall perform the duties customary of that office and such additional duties as directed by the Board.
The current Trustee positions serve in rolls associated with Membership, Communications and Special Projects. The terms of all three positions are one year terms with current nominations being solicited for the term of July 2019 - June 2020.
--Membership Trustee - Responsible for liaisoning with ACAC and NCCA regarding membership and is the key point of contact for ACAC-NC members and prospective members.
--Communications Trustee - Chairs the media committee and is responsible for the publication of the ACAC-NC Newsletter, social media and other forms of communication with ACAC-NC members and prospective members.
--Special Projects Trustee - Responsible for chairing adhoc service committees as needed, e.g. drive-in conference, exhibitor table, etc, and other projects as assigned by the ACAC-NC Executive Committee.
