2024 Young Scholars Program at UIC

Each of the four one week sessions will focus on a particular area of mathematics not covered in a typical high school curriculum, and its applications to science, technology, and society. These are enrichment topics, not specific preparation for regular high school courses.

Rising 9th grade and older students are welcome to attend this program for any number of weeks. (That is, students in 8th grade and up during the current 2023-2024 academic year.) More detailed registration information will be sent to these students by the end of April. 

Some rising 8th grade students (currently in 7th grade in 2023-2024), may be accepted as well. We expect to let you know more about this by the end of May. At this point, it looks possible that Week 4 will be completely full with older students (who have priority).
