MBA consulting projects have been a valuable resource for Long Island Business for over 20 years. In a typical project, a team of MBA graduate students, under faculty
supervision, would focus on a problem that has been identified in the fabric of
your business. The students meet with you along with the faculty supervisor and
work, over the course of a semester, to analyze and create working solutions.
It is real-world experience for them—they must keep in constant communication
with you, the client—but the results of their project work will be of tangible
benefit.
Our Process
These projects are available
in both spring and fall semesters. Project clients would provide essential
information via an online request form or email to help determine the
project-program and student-project fits. Student teams would hold an online or
in person kick off meeting with their clients to better understand client needs
and expectations. They would then conduct research and analysis of the
company’s strategic issues in its particular market. After getting feedback
from project clients, the student teams would then complete their research and
make final presentations to the project clients. Utilizing their training in major
business fields, the teams would recommend solutions for addressing strategic
problems, enhancing organizational effectiveness and competitiveness, and
exploring and evaluating innovation opportunities.
*There is no fee for this program. Clients may allocate a budget before the
project commences to pay for expenses directly related to the project.
