@tanyatypes) commissioned by Art & Wonderment in 2023.
For us, the print commemorates the 'wonder' we've tried to inspire and share on every art walk of visit — in Mumbai for the last six years, and finally also in Kochi this year. This hand pulled serigraph is designed around the word ‘Wonder’ in English, Devnagiri and Malayalam. Channeling the aesthetics/ethos of artists like Joan Miró, Henri Matisse and, of course, Alexander Calder, Tanya transforms the written script into dynamic forms that are playful and ebullient.
For Tanya, “I love that I got to use the three languages that I speak with varying levels of comfort. One rolls off the tongue, a second is a homecoming, and a third I use in times when no other will do. I love that these forms play hide and seek with legibility. What is it? Why does it look like this? How dare she use THAT form? Are they suspended in the air or scattered on a surface? I hope you always Wonder.”

Each print costs ₹5000 + shipping, and will ship* from Pune within a week of receiving the order. Final cost will be calculated based on shipping charges and communicated via email.
