Zero Waste Hero is an online, self-paced certification program where students learn about what UT is doing to address zero waste as well as life-long skillsets to reduce waste. Topics range from the basics of recycling and composting to consumerism & consumption, ecopsychology, reducing food waste, and more. Once you fill out this form, a Zero Waste Hero staff member will enroll you in the course on Canvas.
You may choose to complete some of the modules to learn more about zero waste, or complete all 10 modules (about 30-45 minutes each) plus 5 UT Action Hours (on-campus volunteer opportunities) to receive the full certificate. Note this is not an academic course or certification.
