Dual Endorsement: Students Accessing the General Curriculum and Students Accessing the Adapted Curriculum. Students Accessing the General Curriculum K - 12 (Cat A): This program leads to licensure for teaching students who typically access instruction based on the general curriculum and participate in the SOL assessments. As a teacher, you may work with students in the co-taught setting or through small group instruction. Students Accessing the Adapted Curriculum (Cat B): This program leads to licensure for teaching students with significant cognitive disabilities who are accessing instruction based on the Virginia Essentialized Standards of Learning. These students often work on academics and life skills, such as activities of daily living and social skills.
Dual Endorsement: Early Childhood Special Education Early Childhood General Education. Early Childhood Special Education: This program leads to licensure for teaching students aged birth to 5 years. As a teacher, you will work to create a path for success for our preschool students through their early education through the teaching of social skills, emotional regulation, and early learning skills. Early Childhood General Education is licensure for teaching students Pre-kindergarten to 3rd grade.
Elementary General Education: This program leads to licensure for teaching students who are in grades Pre-K to 6th Grade.
