In Arizona and across the United States, the COVID-19
pandemic exacerbated a pre-existing public health crisis known as Adverse
Childhood Experiences, which has caused an eruption in student behavior,
chronic absenteeism, difficulties in learning and subsequently, the mass exodus
of teachers. Since the beginning of the pandemic, around 2.6 million educators and staff have quit public
education jobs in K-12 and higher education across the country which has caused a severe shortage and a heavy load for the remaining educators.
Education is our future and is why we are convening a Virtual Town Hall on Monday, December 4th from 3pm-5pm! We know that resilient and trauma informed school practices can help with teacher retention, absenteeism, classroom behavior, and more and we would love your input into what is working and what some challenges are in Arizona!
