Welcome to the Dublin Dance Festival 2024 Edition! Thanks for applying to be a volunteer with us. The Festival will take place in Dublin from 14 – 25 May.   

Volunteers must be 18 years or older, have conversational English and should be available for a minimum of 3 volunteer shifts. Closing date for volunteer applications is  Monday 29th April 2024.

Volunteers are offered up to two complimentary tickets. 

The Volunteer Coordinator will communicate with selected volunteers by email or WhatsApp so please make sure the correct details are provided.

Skills and Experience
Areas of Festival:

Front of House / Ushering

Duties include: admissions, directing patrons to venue / amenities / box office, meeting and greeting guests, crowd liaison and information point of contact. Shifts can vary from helping customers with their E-tickets, ticket scanning, looking after waiting lists, ushering patrons through the venue and can sometimes be located outdoors.

Artist Liaison

Duties: meeting artists and accompanying them to their workshop or event. Ensuring artists have the space set up and all the requirements they need.

Friends Sign Up

Activities include: informing audience members about DDF’s Friends scheme and signing up friends at Festival events.

Event Management Support

Responsibilities include: assisting with setting and managing festival events and receptions, venue branding drop off/pick up.

Market Research

Responsibilities include: interviewing patrons and conducting surveys.

Note:

Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 3 volunteer shifts but we’d be delighted if you could volunteer for more! 

- Each volunteer shift lasts between 1-4 hours, depending on the requirements;

- Volunteers should allocate enough travel time for each shift;

Terms and Conditions of volunteering with Dublin Dance Dance Festival
The below applies to those wishing to volunteer with the Dublin Dance Festival. Selected volunteers will also be provided with a volunteer handbook.
Please note that DDF has signed up to the Safe To Create Code of Behaviour. Volunteers are required to read this code before starting their volunteer role. PLEASE READ Safe To Create
