Our travel bursary award is designed for those who are one or more of the following:

- Are an RSE/researcher/student currently living/working outside the UK.

The bursary is to be used for:

- Accommodation on Swansea campus during the conference
- Subsistence at the RSE conference venue

Travel bursaries will be paid retrospectively after the conference, after receipt of a correctly completed expense claim form including original receipts, and confirmation that you attended the conference.

Success Criteria:

Successful applicants to this travel bursary scheme need to be able to demonstrate how this bursary will help them pursue their career/knowledge development within the Research Software Engineering (RSE) Community.  The aims of this bursary are to foster knowledge and networks primarily for those who, without the bursary, would be unable to attend.  We are also looking to engage and lift those who come to this field from underrepresented groups or countries, and whose attendance of RSECon23 will help to build greater interest within their communities or institutions at home.  As such, when preparing, please consider the ways that you can contribute to this conference and how what you learn can benefit those in your field of work and/or study.

Good luck!
