ENROLLMENT & TUITION POLICIES *

Sidney Ridge is open all year and has a "rolling admissions" policy. This means we accept new students all year round pending availability. This also means that your enrollment is active until you decide to unenroll, or your child ages out of the program at 5 years old.

There is a one month deposit to hold your child's spot due upon application approval. This deposit will apply to the last month the child attends, as long as the family gives a month’s notice. Without a month’s notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

Monthly tuition payments are due on the first of the month, for the month ahead. Tuition is non-refundable.

No refunds, credits, or makeups will be given for days missed, including those due to travel, illness, or schedule conflicts. Please see the calendar on the website for holidays and breaks when the school is closed.

Hours are 9am-5pm, with an early drop (8am) and late pickup (6pm) available for $10/hr. You are welcome to pick up your child anytime before 5pm, if you desire.

Tuition includes wholesome meals and snacks throughout the day. We also provide full rain suits and rain mittens from our lending library, but families are responsible for other gear: boots, warm layers, socks, spare clothes, etc. A gear guide will be provided.

COVID-19 POLICIES *

Masks are welcomed, but not required. We spend the majority of our day outdoors, and we have a capacity of 5 students per day.

All teachers are fully vaccinated and boosted.

If a child has symptoms of COVID-19 or has a positive test, the child must isolate and may not attend the childcare until:

- It has been 7 days from symptom onset, with the last three days fever-free (without use of fever-reducing medicine) and an overall reduction in symptoms

- If no symptoms, 7 days from the date they tested positive

ILLNESS POLICIES *

If a child is visibly unwell, has a fever, nausea, diarrhea or illness, they may not join the group until their symptoms have been gone for 24 hours.

If a child becomes unwell, has a fever, nausea, diarrhea or illness, while at school, parents will be called to pick up their child immediately.

WEATHER & GEAR POLICIES *

We will play outside in all safe weather. If high winds, thunderstorms, extreme heavy rain or blizzards are forecasted during our day, we will head inside to the indoor classroom.

Your child must arrive prepared and dressed to be outdoors (Rain suits can be put on at school.)

Your child must always have spare socks, mittens, and full change of seasonally appropriate clothes at school.

If your child is unprepared for the weather, the parent is responsible for supplying the necessary gear.

Please be sure to check out the "Gear Guide" in the family handbook, once accepted, for necessary gear and recommendations.

Our goal is to play! This means that we will get muddy, and dirty, and messy! Please be sure to dress your child in clothes you don't mind them having fun in!

BATHROOM POLICY *

There is an indoor bathroom and sink available for use throughout the day.

We will also provide a portable potty, with a privacy tent/shield for outdoor use.

Children may be in diapers, or potty-trained. We are also happy to work with your family on how best to support your child in transitioning to toilet use.

If your child is still in diapers, families are responsible for providing spare diapers and wipes.
