Acting Up! is the premiere group in the SCERA Youth Theatre program and requires a commitment from August 2024 through May 2025 (also OremFest in June). An optional musical theatre competition tour to California is also offered February 6-11, 2025. Rehearsals are held on Saturday mornings from 7:30-10:30am at SCERA Center for the Arts, with additional rehearsals scheduled as needed. From mid-December through February there will be nightly weekday rehearsals for tour, if you choose to participate. Our SCERA Indoor Season mainstage musical production will be LES MISERABLES SCHOOL EDITION in Spring 2025 (dates TBA), and there will also be evening weekdays rehearsals after tour and until the show opens. August 5-10, 2024 is our "Heck Week" and is mandatory. PLEASE LIST ANY KNOWN CONFLICTS YOU MAY HAVE BELOW:     *
IMPORTANT! December - March are very busy for Acting Up!... especially if you choose to go on tour.  If you choose to be involved in your high school drama program during this time period, it will most probably cause an issue with casting for our show.  We need to know your plans so that we can prepare accordingly. Do you plan on doing your high school spring production if you are cast in Acting Up? *
