2024 LKPT Food Fest- Vendor Application

LKPT Food Fest

Sunday, August 11th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Main Street, Lockport

In order to participate, please submit the following:

1. Completed Application which includes:

    1. Fully completed application by July 1st, 2024

    2. A summary of your vending set-up including number of tables, special equipment, ect.

    3. A non-refundable $50 vendor fee

    4. Electricity is extremely limited for this event- if you require power, please reach out as soon as possible. This WILL include an extra fee

Please mail or email your application no later than July 1st, 2024 if you wish to participate. The committee reserves the right to reject any application based on the appropriateness of products as they fit into the intended image and goals of the event. Your fee and any permits or remaining paperwork should be submitted AFTER you receive and acceptance letter.   

Vendor Fees 

Once your application is approved the following is due by July 31st:

  1. Copy of catering permit or temporary food permits (A copy of the permit is attached to this application)

  2. A copy of two separate insurance certificates one naming Lockport Main Street (160 Washburn Street, Suite 1-202, Lockport, 14094) and one naming the City of Lockport (One Locks Plaza, Lockport, 14094) as additionally insured. Festival Rules and Regulations :

  • Two separate Certificates of Insurance naming Lockport Main Street, 160 Washburn Street, Suite 1-202, Lockport, 14094 as well as the City of Lockport, 1 Locks Plaza Lockport, NY 14094 as additional insured are mandatory to attend the festival by July 31st,2024. *If you have participated in a 2024 LMS event and have submitted a COI, you may not need to send another copy. You will be notified in your acceptance letter of this status**

  • Merchants collecting sales tax must prominently display their NYS Certificate of Authority. 

  • Food Vendors must have proper permits as defined by the Niagara County Health Department. Any and all permits must be prominently displayed and submitted with the application:

  • All vendors must submit the following permits IF they apply to your products:

    • 20C Exemption from NYS Dept of Agriculture & Markets if home-baked, non-hazardous; ie. Bread (no breads containing fruits or vegetables), rolls, cookies, cakes, brownies, fudge & double crust fruit pies. (Quickbreads are considered potentially hazardous and cannot be done under 20C Exemptions.) * If applies to your product
    • Article 20C License from NYS Dept. of Agriculture & Markets on all other baked products provided (for non-hazardous foods only, including traditional fruit jams, jellies, and marmalades; candy (excluding chocolate); spices and herbs repackaging only); and snack items such as popcorn, caramel corn, and peanut brittle. Information on registering as a Home Processor in New York can be found on the website, http://www.agriculture.ny.gov/FS/consumer/processor.html, or by calling one of the Regional Offices.)  **If applies to your product
  • Vendors must bring whatever they need to conduct their business while fitting into their designated display space. A 10’x10’ tent, table, and tablecloths are suggested, BUT NOT provided. All tents must be weighted, if your tent is not properly weighted (minimum of 20 lbs on each leg) you may be asked to take down your tent for the duration of that market day. This is to protect vendors, their merchandise, our staff, and the customers of the festival. 

  • Staff will be on hand by 8:00 am for assistance. Although you will be allowed to unload near the festival area, you are asked to park your vehicle in one of the designated lots to allow for customer parking near the festival. 

  • Every vendor must be completely set-up and ready to welcome guests by 11:00 am. Your display must always be manned. No merchant will take down their display until 4:00 pm

  • The festival will take place rain or shine. No rain dates will be offered. The festival will only be closed in the event of severe or dangerous conditions. The organizers of the LKPT FOOD FEST will call vendors if there is a need to cancel that day’s events.

There will be a LKPT Food Fest meeting Monday, July 1st, 2023. This meeting is optional and will take place at 4 pm at 160 Washburn Street, STE 1-202 which is the LMS offices. Please attend this meeting if you have any questions before submitting an application.

I hereby grant Lockport Main Street and its sponsors the use of photographs and video recordings made of my business and me during LKPT Food Fest 2024 for publicity and other non-commercial purposes. 

My organization and I will operate our booth from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.

I shall not hold the LKPT Food Fest Committee, LKPT Food Fest volunteers, the City of Lockport, NY, or any of its sponsors or representatives responsible for accidents to me, my staff, or property.

I agree to assume all financial responsibility, including but not limited to damages to property or injuries to persons, which arise or are claimed to arise out of or in connection with my participation in the LKPT Food Fest.

I agree, at my own expense, to investigate all claims and demands, attend to their settlement or other disposition, defend all actions based thereon with counsel satisfactory to Indemnities and pay charges of attorney and all other cost and expenses of any kind arising from any said liability, damages, losses, and claims, while participating in the LKPT Food Fest.

The LKPT Food Fest reserves the right to remove any vendors at any time without liability or any violations or the regulations set forth in the current year’s rules regarding the LKPT Food Fest. I have read all the rules and regulations of the LKPT Food Fest and agree to abide by them. 

I hereby affirm that all information supplied is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I understand that information will be considered material in the evaluations of quotations, bids, and proposals. Notice must be given of any change in status impacting the information provided within ten (10) days of said change.

In signing this application, you agree to all the Rules and Regulations for LKPT Food Fest and will uphold all requirements throughout the duration of the event.
