Garden in the Woods 3rd Grade School Program Inquiry Form 2024
Thank you for your interest in joining us at Garden in the Woods for our 2024 school programs. We are excited to bring back programs for young learners at our native plants botanic garden in Framingham beginning on April 15th. During this pilot phase of our 2024 school programming, we are scheduling visits for third grade students only. Our interactive one-hour program on Plant Survival and Adaptation is taught by experienced Teacher Naturalists and designed to align with MA DESE STE curriculum standards.

Cost of attendance is $10 per student, and we can accommodate a maximum of 75 students in one day. Please organize your students into groups of approximately 14 before arrival. We ask that each group of 14 students be accompanied by two or more chaperones.

Your students can expect to walk through a wooded garden that includes sections of uneven terrain and to encounter insects, including bees, during their time with us. All students should bring water, wear closed-toed shoes, and dress for the weather. Students must be closely supervised at all times. In order to preserve our beautiful plants, it is essential that all visitors remain on the gravel path during their time with us.

Snacks and lunches are permitted on our covered patio area only, and no food can be taken on our trails. Our patio is open to the public on a first-come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Bathrooms are located next to our patio.

All school program attendees are responsible for organizing their own transportation to Garden in the Woods. Our parking lot *cannot* accommodate buses. Please have your bus drivers drop your group at our front gate, and drop off the children, teachers and chaperones. Public Programs staff will greet you.
