Westside Elementary and Northside Elementary are currently applying for funding under the Nita Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grant. If awarded, Westside and Northside will be able to continue Colts Corner 21st CCLC and Mustang Stable 21st CCLC for an additional 5 years if all other criteria are met.

Program overview: The programs operate 4 days a week during the school year from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. We also offer 4 weeks of summer programming, 5 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Maysville Community College is Westside's co-applicant, and Harrison Memorial Hospital is Northside's co-applicant. Westside and Northside have numerous committed community partners that also help make our programs successful. Academic assistance is offered by certified teachers and enrichment opportunities are designed by program staff or our local community partners. During the school year, participating students receive 1 hour of academic support and 1 hour of enrichment daily, along with homework help, a snack, and a meal. Bus transportation is provided for students who participate as well. The programs is open to students in Harrison County Schools, and families attending private school or homeschool.
