What is an innovation ecosystem?
An innovation ecosystem is characterized by people like researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and supporting entities such as universities, government, and businesses. Interactivity leads to knowledge creation and transfer, competition and collaboration. Innovation ecosystems evolve continuously, producing increasingly diverse and complex products and solutions, while enhancing quality of life. Innovation ecosystems are both part of the surrounding built environment and contributors to it.
