Puget Sound NSDA Worlds School Debate Nomination
Please nominate students from your team that would be proud to represent our Puget Sound District at Nationals!    Coach Derek Hanson and I are not imposing limits on how many students you  nominate this year, but we do ask you to be highly selective about your nominees.   Students who are chosen should be willing to commit to approximately 1-2 practices per week from April until June,  eager to participate in practice rounds against teams across the country, and excited to compete in 2 Worlds School tournaments before we even go to Nationals!

Criteria that will be considered:
* Strong Work Ethic
* Team Focus
* Representation of teams from across the Puget Sound NSDA
* Ability of student to give back to the larger debate community
* Potential for growth from participation

Nominees must participate in at least one Nat Quals event to be considered for the Worlds team. Nominations are due by Friday, 2/24. I will contact those nominated to schedule an interview durin the week of 2/28-3/4.  The interview panel will be me, Derek Hanson, and Robin Montieth. Those selected will be announced at the award ceremony at National Quals on 3/4.

If you or your students have any questions, please feel free to contact me at kkirkpatrick@mvsd320.org.

I look forward to hearing about your students!
Yours,
Kelley Kirkpatrick

Student's Main Competitive Events... Please do not include events they did once or twice.  This answer should indicate the events where the student shows the most skill and interest.
Please include the student's debate record for this season as well as you can.  Every detail isn't needed-- but we would like to know if they only competed twice or if they were constantly showing improvement.  Their record should show that.  Thank you!
Why would you like this student to have this opportunity?
