Participation: The La Vernia Grizzlies will develop my child through drills and techniques, understanding of the game and fundamentals from attendance & participation at practice, and I understand game time must be earned and is limited based on experience & skill level.

Medical Insurance: La Vernia Grizzlies do not provide any medical or accident insurance coverage for my child. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation. In the event of an injury to my child, I hereby grant authority to a qualified physician to render such medical treatment as said physician deems necessary under the circumstances.

Competition Level: The La Vernia Grizzlies participate in a competitive league both in cheer & football in which teams are vying for District Titles, Playoffs and State Championships. I accept the coach’s responsibility to position my child according to their skill level in which he/she feels is best for the team’s overall success.

Playing Time: TYFA does not have a mandatory play rule and I further understand the La Vernia Grizzlies do not have a mandatory play rule as well. I understand the La Vernia Grizzlies view playing time as earned. TYFA is a competitive league and safety is a top priority if a child is not ready to play.

Equipment: I understand I am responsible for the return of all equipment issued to my child by La Vernia Grizzlies when asked and that I am fiscally responsible for any costs for the excessive damage or loss of said equipment. I understand that if I do not return or pay for the equipment that my child can be put on HOLD until I resolve the situation. I understand that to being put on HOLD will not allow my child to participate with any other organization in TYFA or any other sport in La Vernia Grizzlies.

End of Season Rewards: I Understand that we forfeit all end of season rewards if my/our child does not complete the entire season to include playoffs & state games or my/our volunteer hours are not fulfilled. If we owe any money, fail to turn in equipment, or return damaged equipment outside of normal wear and tear, I understand that I am in jeopardy of forfeiting end of season rewards. (No Season Rewards for Spring)

Volunteer Hours: Throughout the season we will need volunteers to help with all home games. A maximum of 4 hrs for one player and 6 hrs for multiple players is required for the season. If you decide to opt out or you fail to meet your volunteer hours you will be required to pay an opt out fee of $150.00. (No Volunteer Hours Required for Spring)

Game/Practice Field: I understand that I am not allowed to come on to the game and/or practice field unless there is an emergency.

Certification: I/We are responsible for ensuring our child/children attend mandatory certification and if my/our child/children do not certify they will not be allowed to participate for the season and no refunds will be given.

Monetary Donations: Any donations requested by team managers or coaches are NOT required and the only monetary responsibility I/we are responsible for is registration costs and volunteer buy opt outs.

24 Hour Rule: After a win or loss, please address any concerns with your coach 24 hours after competition.

Conduct Policy: I agree to adhere to the rules, policies and procedures of TYFA and the La Vernia Grizzlies and I agree that my status and that of my child’s can be terminated with or without cause, and with or without notice, at any time by TYFA or the La Vernia Grizzlies. I additionally agree not to defame or slander TYFA or the La Vernia Grizzlies or any of its members or do anything that may cause damage to TYFAs and the La Vernia Grizzlies image or identity.
