UCSF PRIDE PIN PLEDGE

In 2024, hundreds of anti-LGBTQ+ bills continue to attack the civil rights of queer people, especially BIPOC & trans youth. Within this socio-political landscape, many queer & trans folks face discrimination, particularly in healthcare & educational settings.

We must remain vigilant & take action to stand with LGBTQ+ communities. We provide an open & inclusive environment for all our UCSF community.

Take action through the 'Pride Pin Pledge' to earn a pin, show support & increase visibility.

I PLEDGE TO:

Undertake the Gender Recognition and Lived Name e-course (search 'Gender Recognition' in UC Learning Center)

Familiarize myself with the 'Pronouns Matter' campaign

Explore further action: attend LGBTQ+ events, websites, volunteer & donate (if possible) to LGBTQ+ organizations

Wear my pin to increase visibility & show that I have taken action & training

Show LGBTQ+ folks they are safe, respected & listened to without judgment

Spread kindness, show patience & share knowledge, either in allyship with, or as part of LGBTQ+ communities
