Bio-based Economy Regions and Clusters Replication Group
A space for regions and bio-based regional clusters with aspirations to develop their own Bio-based Economy Strategy.

BIOMODEL4REGIONS is a 3 year project aiming to overcome governance issues challenging the development of the bio-based economy in 6 European pilot regions. To further enable the bio-based economy across Europe, this replication group will bring togther the cluster Zielona Chemia of the Western Pomerania Region of Poland, and 2 other regions - or bio-based regional clusters - to exchange and foster knowleldge on the developing the bio-based economy in their region. More specifically, replication regions/clusters will benefit from:

  • Knowledge and community building with Bio-based clusters in Sweden, Italy, Slovakia, Western Macadonia, Delta region in Southwest Netherlands and Normandy, France.
  • Access to the network of regions and expertise within the CCRI Initiative.
  • Methodology of how to develop blueprints for their own sustainable Bio-based Economy Strategy.
  • Self-assessment of governance and policy gaps in your regions bio-based economy using Biomodel4Regions’ Bio-based Governance Analysis Tool, including feeding into its finalisation.
  • Exposure to novel bio-based business models developed for relevant geographical, climate and biomass chains (Biomass of project focus includes agri-food, forestry, shellfish and OFMSW*).

We hereby apply to become a Biomodel4Regions Replication Group Member and commit to delivering the following requirements of the project:

1.     Participation in at least one BIOMODEL4REGIONS webinar, showcasing project results

2.     Provision of feedback on the replication potential of BIOMODELS4REGION outcomes

3.     Participation in a Replication Workshop to identify necessary actions for replication of project activities, ultimately resulting in the development of a replication guide
