Proposals are now being accepted for a rental shop space at the Lynchburg Community Market (currently Marsh Roots Seafood). The Lynchburg Community Market, owned and operated by the City of Lynchburg, is a five-day a week public market that features locally grown produce, home-made food products, boutiques, crafts, art, and locally owned restaurants. Potential applicants are encouraged to review the LCM Handbook and sample lease. The Community Market Handbook and an application can be found online at:

This shop space is approximately 430.11 sq/ft, and is equipped with electric access. The monthly rent for this space is $322.58. The successful applicant will also be responsible for any improvements needed to bring this business space to fruition. The successful applicant will be awarded a one-year lease with opportunity for renewal.

Applicants are encouraged to apply online but applications can be picked up in person at the Lynchburg Community Market office (1219 Main Street). To be considered, proposals must be submitted or postmarked by June 14th, 2023 for priority consideration. Applications received after June 14th may be considered, depending on the priority applicant pool.
