Nominees will be considered based on the following:

- A minimum of 25 years committed hospitality focused industry involvement and improvement as an operator, advisor, owner, or leader; at least 10 of which took place in Ontario

- Individual will have been recognized by peers in the hospitality industry as a key recognized leader who has made significant contributions throughout their career

- Individual should have a demonstrated impact on mentoring, training and inspiring others within the industry

- Consideration will be given to activities which have positively impacted the perception of the hospitality industry to the general public

- Individuals will have participated through attendance and had visibility in industry events.

- Consideration will be given to involvement in industry related associations, initiatives, and/or support of hospitality education

- Considerations will be examined in regard to known efforts or outcomes in terms of exemplary partnerships, innovation, employee development, diversity, and sustainability
