OSU Campus Recycling will be performing a series of waste audits February 24-25 and March 3-4.  Volunteers will sort trash samples from OSU dumpsters and record the weight of each waste stream (cardboard, paper, plastic, etc.).  This data will then be used by Campus Recycling to analyze the waste streams coming out of the university and to identify opportunities for waste reduction and diversion.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!  Please fill out the following information so safety materials can be sent to you prior to your audit date.

Requirements of volunteers:
- Volunteers must review safety materials prior to the event. Volunteers must be willing and able to follow all safety protocols as described by training materials and on-site staff.
- Volunteers will be on their feet for much of the audit (with breaks as needed), moving between the sorting table and the sorting carts. Accommodations will be made for volunteers who request them so long as they can be made safely.
- The Long Barn is not heated, so volunteers should plan to bring layers as needed.  The doors leading outside will be left open for ventilation.
- Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes.
- Per OSU policy, a face covering must be worn at all times during the audit.
- If a volunteer does not have an OSU ID, they must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or negative COVID-19 test. All volunteers must comply with all OSU COVID-19 protocols.
