MSJ 2023 Conference: Imaging Liberation...Honoring Humanity (Call for Presentations)
We welcome workshop submissions that relate to the 2023 conference theme: "Imagining Liberation...honoring our humanity" for our annual conference happening at Near North Montessori School in Chicago, IL, June 22nd to 25th, 2023!

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE CONTENT OF THE PROPOSAL: 
 
Workshop presentations of varied content that support the overall mission of MSJ are ideal. The workshops should offer attendees an education and the opportunity to imagine liberation and honor their humanity.

Workshops should also relate to Montessori's mission for Social Justice regarding
* Dismantling systems of oppression
* Amplifying the voices of the global majority (people of color)
* Cultivating solidarity to unlock human potential.

FORMAT: Potential formats include workshops, presentations, round tables, forums, affinity groups, facilitated open sessions

DURATION: 90 minutes (including Q&A)

Example topics may related to:

* Curriculum development informed by the MSJ mission and release
* Implementation of the idea into practice (material development, lessons, storytelling, general practical application)
* Educate attendees about and broaden the experience of Indigenous peoples, LGBTQIA+, disabilities, and individuals navigating various intersections
* Working with white children who understand white immunity
