Option descriptions
Band - students continue an instrument that they played in previous band classes or can choose an instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion) and work together to play as a concert band.
Leadership - students learn about leadership and leadership components and traits through lessons and activities throughout the school. Students also help with leadership tasks around the school such as recycling, reading buddies, changing the school sign, etc.
Sports Performance - students learn essential skills in fitness, nutrition, sport psychology, training principles and health and wellness.
Outdoor Education - students develop knowledge, skills and abilities in outdoor activities through theory and practical in a variety of areas including survival, orienteering, knots, archery, fishing, fire building, outdoor cooking, etc.
Drama - students learn about drama and theatre through movement, speech, improvisation/acting, theatre studies and technical theatre.
Film studies - students learn about film and movies to understand the basic fundamentals of it, while developing their critical thinking skills in analyzing the explicit and implicit messages portrayed.
Art - students learn how to use different tools, materials and media to express themselves and subsequently value the art they create through drawings and compositions and projects.
CTS/STEM - students will use computers and digital tools for a variety of lessons, projects, and activities to create various digital products.
