$25 REGISTRATION FEE. Games start at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. Please arrive by 9:30 to sign in, pay registration fee, sign waiver, and warm up. Tournament location is on Myrtle Avenue between Pearl and Maple Streets. Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 8 at 3 pm.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: This tournament is fun and unique as it is played on the streets of downtown Willard, Ohio. Teams will be randomly drawn for round-robin pool play and then seeded to play in an upper and lower bracket tournament (although some pool play games may be of unequal play, this is a fun and accurate way to place teams in their respective brackets). Pool play games are rally scoring played to 15. The double elimination tournament will remain the standard game to 11 (win by 2). Tournament brackets for pool play will be sent to each player by Friday, May 10th by 5 pm. Selkirk Pro S1 will be the official ball of the tournament. Tournament questions can be directed to bhamons@willardohio.gov.
Please note that $25 payment is not due until the day of the tournament. Cancellation can only be made up to Wednesday, May 8th at 3 pm. If you must drop out of the tournament after May 8th it is your responsibility to find a replacement team for the tournament.
Each player will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win multiple Selkirk products.
If any inclement weather is in the forecast a decision upon the tournament will be made by 8:00 am the day of the tournament. Rain date for the tournament will be TBA based on the availability of the majority of participants (teams are not obligated to attend if the day of the tournament is moved).
FESTIVAL INFORMATION: The pickleball tournament is just one segment of the Willard Downtown Spring Festival. Bring the entire family and enjoy other activities such as Craft Vendors, Downtown Eateries, Food Trucks, Cornhole Tournament, Magician, Balloon Artist, Music, Touch-A-Truck, and Bike Rodeo. Proceeds from the festival go towards a community project of ANEW (Active Neighbors Enhancing Willard). For more information www.willardohio.gov
