Building Accessibility Survey
As you may already be aware, the library has been fortunate to receive a grant aimed at enhancing building access and overall accessibility. In our efforts to prepare for applying these funds effectively, we previously distributed a survey to gauge interest and gather insights on the necessary improvements. You may find this survey familiar, as it serves as a continuation of that conversation.

We kindly ask you to take a moment to complete this survey once again, providing your valuable thoughts and suggestions. Your input will ensure that as many library users as possible have the opportunity to contribute to the deeper discussion surrounding accessibility and inclusivity within our library.

Your feedback is instrumental in shaping a more inclusive environment for everyone.

Below is a list of proposed changes:
  • Moving the ADA parking sign closer to the lot for better visibility.
  • Replacing the boards on the ramp and all railings.
  • Updating the threshold to the library entrance for ease of use with wheelchairs (minimizing the interior gap).
  • Updating the threshold to the exterior bookstore entrance for ease of use with wheelchairs (minimizing the gap).
  • Changing the handle hardware for all exterior entrances.
  • Changing the hardware for the bathroom entrances.
  • Addition of an exterior bookdrop in our main parking lot area.
Additionally, we are considering the following projects, although funding has not been secured for them:
  • Painting lines in the parking lot, including an ADA marker on the "driveway" parallel to the ramp.
  • Repairing and sealing the parking lot.
We kindly request that you rate each proposed change on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 indicating that the change is unnecessary or unhelpful, and 5 signifying its utmost importance for improvement.
At the end of the survey, there will be an opportunity for you to share any additional improvements you believe we should consider.

Thank you for your continued support and participation in creating a more accessible and inclusive library environment.
