On Sunday the 26th May, Megan, the Schools of Sanctuary UK Coordinator is running the Edinburgh half marathon to raise money for Schools of Sanctuary.
She believes that after their long, hard journeys to the UK, children and young people who have been forced to flee should feel safe and welcomed in school and be treated with kindness and compassion.
As a school in our Schools of Sanctuary network, we know you feel the same.
So on Friday the 24th, we ask that you join Megan and get staff and students to run just 1 mile with everyone donating their own £1. With more than 800 schools in our networks, think about how far we can run together - and how much we can raise!
Every donation will go towards helping us to grow the number of schools just like yours - where children who have been forced to flee, feel safe, welcomed and belonging.
