The United States has one of the highest maternal mortality rates among developed nations. We as a community of machine learning experts have a unique opportunity to brainstorm and discuss strategies for combating maternal mortality in the United States and beyond. This session will culminate in a list of data access resources and contact information for your state representatives for funding for this issue.

Louvere is Team Lead and Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks, the winner of the Application Engineer of the Year Award at MathWorks and the Women Engineers You Should Know Award by SWE, the Society of Women Engineers. Louvere is on the Black Girls Code Boston leadership team. She is Meetup Chair of NeurIPS 2020 and 2021, and was Virtual Chair of ICML 2020.
