LLCEC Returning Camper Application
This application is for returning campers (youth who have attended the LLCEC in the past and have NOT yet completed a year of college). This is NOT the application for first time participants. This is also NOT the application for individuals who are seeking to volunteer as facilitators or support staff.
All interested returning campers must complete this online application.
The 2020 LLCEC will take place from Sunday, July 26 through Friday, July 31 in Lexington, KY. Please SAVE the DATES now.
Expectations:
Returning campers are committed to learning and leadership growth and commit to taking courses and participating respectfully in their courses in order to increase their knowledge, strengthen their leadership and plan for college and career.
Returning campers commit to attending the LLCEC for the entire week. The only exceptions that can be made are for crucial family or personal needs such as immigration appointments like bio-metrics, etc. Unforeseen emergencies that might occur during the week of camp will be addressed if they come up. Otherwise, it is expected that returning campers arrive on time and stay at the program through the duration of the LLCEC until it concludes with graduation on Friday, July 31st at 8 pm.
Returning campers will assist facilitators and support staff with family meetings and daily programs. With a spirit of giving and service, returning campers help set the mood and tone of the LLCEC. Returning campers like all LLCEC facilitators, support staff and directors will embody "In lak ech" / "Tu eres mi otro yo" meaning they will help serve the new participants by being welcoming of all, by being inclusive and supportive of all campers, by paying attention to announcements and schedules, by being respectful of all presenters and instructors, and by enacting self-care by getting rest in the evenings and asking for help when needed. Returning campers should be motivated out of a desire to grow as a leader, to learn, and to serve others.
