Join the Reviewer Zero network!
Would you be willing to lend your expertise to help advance the careers of underrepresented minoritized (URM) trainees in cognitive science, neuroscience and all areas of psychology (social, developmental, cognitive, clinical, etc.)?
In partnership with SPARK Society, we are exploring the possibility of creating a new type of independent feedback for URM trainees. Before submitting their work to a journal or funding body, trainees can submit their work to Reviewer Zero. Our trained network of volunteers will provide rapid, useful, and constructive feedback that reinforces the strengths of the work, anticipates critical feedback that may arise in the review process, and provides strategies for dealing with that feedback. Our goal is to provide URM trainees with a positive independent review experience that can build resilience for the peer review process.
We are in an exploratory planning stage for this project and are currently gathering information and seeking expressions of interest to be part of the network. If the initiative moves forward there will eventually be a formal application process to become a first reviewer. If you're interested in helping us with this effort, please fill out the form below. We will contact you with further details as this project develops. Thank you!
