Jubilee House Volunteer Sign-Up
Jubilee House provides a home environment, during daytime hours, for unhoused people to find shelter from the elements, take a shower, use a bathroom, do laundry, receive emergency clothing and toiletries, access a computer, and express their spirituality in community. Jubilee House, a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, provides services from 10am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday (except on most Major Holidays and Holy Days where we will be closed).
Jubilee House volunteers will serve on a team of 3-4 people for either a morning or an afternoon shift (each shift is 4 hours). Volunteers will greet guests and sign them in, assist guests with requests for emergency clothing and toiletries, monitor the signups for showers and laundry and help guests keep to their scheduled times, sit with guests and socialize, pray with those who seek prayer time, and generally extend a hospitable welcome to all who enter Jubilee House. Further, some light cleaning tasks will be shared by each team. Volunteer meetings will be held approximately monthly and attendance is hoped for as much as is possible at these meetings.
If this sounds like a way that you are being called to serve, please fill out this form to sign up to volunteer for this ministry.
