I join with many residents in Stanley, who have raised their concerns about the inclusion of a site to the south of Rooks Nest Lane, Stanley, within a plan by Accord Housing, which proposes up to 500 new homes – should this be given the green light by Wakefield City Council.
Residents are correct in saying that a building project of this scale would have profound impacts for those living in the vicinity. Whilst there is always a need for housing, building on the greenbelt is not welcomed by residents and the burden that a development of this size and scale will place on local infrastructure is immense.
