       **Please Read Before Applying: As an animal rescue made up entirely of volunteers, we cannot hold cats under any circumstances whatsoever. For this reason, we ask that you please wait to apply until you are ready to bring a new cat into your home within 24 hours of speaking with an adoption counselor.


       Please do not submit more than one application as it takes us longer to process! To check on a submitted application, email kc@kittyconnection.net with this information from your submitted application: full name, date submitted, and the cat's name you listed. If you would like to update your application or update which cat you're interested in, please reach out to onlineapplications@kittyconnection.net.


Timeline:
      We are very busy at the moment. While it's totally possible that you could talk to an adoption counselor immediately after applying, it will most likely take a little while to get connected with someone... but once you are connected with someone on our adoption team, the process can move very quickly. In order for us to continue our work in animal rescue, it's important that anyone who submits our pre-adoption application is ready to bring a new cat into their home within 24 hours of speaking with an adoption counselor.


Our Kitten-Adoption Policy:
      It is Kitty Connection's policy to only adopt kittens in pairs or into homes with a relatively young resident pet. Kittens have tons of energy and they need someone to play with or they'll destroy your house and become overly dependent on you for attention. At the same time, kittens are very social and look for other cats to bond with. Without another cat to help them socialize and stay entertained they can become withdrawn, depressed, and develop problem behaviors. So, if you don't already have another pet at home, you'd need to adopt a companion for any kitten you’re interested in.
