• We all must do our best to learn and use the preferred pronouns of our peers in the group.
• We accept all folks under the trans (gender non-conforming) umbrella. So, if you're trans, nonbinary, intersex, genderfluid, agender, etc., or if you're questioning/exploring what you are, you are welcome in our group.
•
No gatekeeping. We have people at all stages of their journey and it's important to be supportive, patient, and honor the truth of their journey.
•
Some difficult topics come up in our conversations. It's important that people be able to share their stories truthfully. If you are triggered by talk of suicide, self harm, abuse, etc. Please speak to Emily before the meeting so she can announce that those topics are off the table for the day.
• We do talk about hormones, medical procedures, and our goals for medical transition, but it is extremely important that you consult a doctor before starting or modifying your transition. A good therapist can work wonders to ensure that your journey is your own and is right for you.
• This is a support and friend group for trans folks. Guests are welcome if they come along with a trans person. Check with Emily first before bringing a guest, however.
