ATTENDANCE
Each member is expected to attend all rehearsals.
Parents must inform the choir Administrator in advance, via phone or e-mail, if their child will absent from a rehearsal, concert, or any other WYV event.
Participation in ALL events is expected unless prior notice has been given to the Administrator (please give as much prior notice as possible).
Three or more absences from rehearsals in any given term, whether excused or not, may result in the singer forfeiting his/her place in the next performance.
All singers must sign in with the Administrator at rehearsals and wear his/her name badge for easy identification.
COMMITMENT
Commitment for a choir term is the minimum requirement. In order to plan our programmes and staffing the expectation is that each singer will stay until the end of a term before withdrawing.
While we understand that circumstances can change, our expectation is that choir enrolment is for the whole year.
TIMELINESS
Singers are expected to be on time to all rehearsals, concerts and WYV events.
On Time = Early and sitting in your seat ready to sing.
If you are late, be aware that your arrival will be distracting. Enter the room quietly and wait for a break in the singing before taking your seat.
Singers must be picked up promptly at the end of rehearsal. There is no provision for supervision once rehearsal has ended. Our staff/volunteers often have their own commitments after the rehearsal so please ensure they are able to get away asap.
PREPAREDNESS
Each member should bring his/her music and a pencil to every rehearsal.
Parents will be invoiced for the cost of any published music that is lost.
If you miss a rehearsal, please put in extra time at home to catch up on words/music where necessary.
Singers are advised to bring a drink bottle. No chewing gum, lollies or fizzy drinks are allowed.
All cell phones must be turned off or muted prior to the beginning of rehearsal.
APPEARANCE
Singers are expected to be neatly groomed and to wear the following attire for public performances:

Informal uniform:
WYV polo shirt (supplied) or other shirt, if advised.
Black skirt or trousers (no short shorts, no skirts with high splits, only black uniform from waist down with no skin showing).
Clean, black shoes (and if socks are worn, these must also be black).

Formal uniform:
A plain white long sleeved school type shirt with a collar. We supply red cummerbunds.
Black skirt or trousers (no short shorts, no skirts with high splits, only black uniform from waist down with no skin showing).
Clean, black shoes (and if socks are worn, these must also be black).

BEHAVIOUR
All singers must pay close attention during rehearsal and not interrupt the Director.
Singers need to raise their hand to ask a question.
Please do not talk amongst yourselves during rehearsals.
All members are expected to treat the artistic staff, fellow choir members and the extended choir community with dignity and respect. No bullying or harassment will be tolerated, whether physical, verbal, emotional or sexual.
Singers are expected to treat all rehearsal and performance venues with care & respect.
