since there was interest in the poal i linked a while back, i'm hoping to organize a tournament on mjs this christmas break somewhere around dec23-jan1, this will be a short form on just date/time preferences and format preferences. feel free to provide long answer feedback or suggestions in the "other" boxes of all the questions

the current proposed format is to have two starting brackets, one for experienced players and one for newer players, each bracket will have their own prize pool. after that we will have interbracket matches that also have their own albeit smaller prize pools. anyone is free to sign up for the experienced bracket although people who have displayed proficient experience with mjg prior to the start of the /nasfaqg/ mjg arc won't be allowed to sign up for the bracket for newer players. *

in each bracket every player will play a certain number of hanchans (south matches). after all matches have been played the top x players in score (note the score used are the ones calculated at the end of the game based on your points, in the image i would get a -40.9 for the match) will advance to the next bracket. the "x" will depend on the number of players in that bracket. how many hanchans do you think would be a good amount for each player to play in the whole tourney? *
