Black Women Benefit's (BWB's) mission is to embrace, empower, and invest into Black women. In September 2021, we funded group therapy for Black women living in Maryland. Sessions were led by Dr. Tasha Dorsey, a licensed psychologist and Black woman.
We are working to fundraise the amount needed to begin our next group therapy cohort in early 2022! If you are interested in beginning group therapy, fill out this interest form.

You will connect with Black women from similar backgrounds and learn about yourself in the process! This group will provide support, insight, and feedback about any given problem. Over time, individuals build relationships and practice new thoughts and behaviors that can be applied to life outside the session.
Time Commitment
The entire program will last for 1 month, with sessions held weekly for one hour. Members are likely to get the most benefit from the group if they can commit to the time commitment and are open to gradually sharing their experiences and emotions. After the one month session has ended, members may choose to extend the therapy sessions for an additional 2 months.
