Application for Admission
Cascades High School is a high school on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Our mission is to create committed, responsible, visionary leaders for the 21st century. We are preparing our students through excellent instruction and work-based learning opportunities, which are crucial to raising standards and preparing students for life after high school. Cascades High school is a place where all are encouraged to discover their true identities to become fully self-expressed and to achieve their highest dreams.
Please understand because we are a small school with limited space, we are unable to accept all applicants.
We are a semester-based school with rolling admissions, but we strongly encourage students to apply prior to the start of each term.
Cascades High School is seeking transfer applicants who are a minimum age of 16 years old, have earned at least 10 credits, and have passed one or more Regents exams. However, we consider all applicants on a case-by case basis.

***The following documents are required during interview:
For special education students, current Individual Educational Plan(IEP)
For ENL students, current performance level (you may obtain this from your guidance counselor)
Birth Certificate
Social Security card (requested not required)
Immunization Record
Proof of Address
If coming from a school outside of NYC or a NYC charter school, a course description of completed courses is required (this can be obtained from your guidance counselor)
Parent or legal Guardian must be present when completing intake forms for students under 18. We
strongly suggest a parent or legal guardian be present for students 18+.

Submit the following application and upload or email all required documents to Parent Coordinator at alucena@schools.nyc.gov
You will be contacted for an interview. For students under 18, parents/guardians are required to be present for the interview.
