Thank you for your interest in applying to serve on the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council's Citizen Science Advisory Panel Pool. Please note:

Information provided in this application is confidential.
All applicants are subject to a marine fishery violation background check.
Selected applicants must have access to a working email address in order to receive materials and correspondence from the Council office.
Applicants are encouraged to contact their area Council Members to discuss interest in serving on an advisory panel.
Members of the Citizen Science Pool may be appointed to serve on the Citizen Science Operations Committee, Projects Advisory Committee, or an Ad-Hoc Technical Committee. Members of the pool are not term-limited. To learn more about these Committees, visit the Citizen Science Pool webpage.

Citizen Science Operations Committee - responsible for providing programmatic level guidance and recommendations

Citizen Science Projects Advisory Committee - responsible for helping identify citizen science research priorities across fisheries, assisting with developing volunteer engagement strategies and serving as outreach ambassadors. Must be a member of one of the Council's fisheries Advisory Panels (AP), Habitat and Ecosystem AP, or Outreach and Communication AP.

Citizen Science Ad-Hoc Committee - typically serve in a review capacity for process-oriented Program components.
