We appreciate your interest in Camp Wyldewood and your willingness to serve. All volunteers are required to fill out the following application and go through a background check. Housing Option

1st Session - We do not have any available space for volunteers at the summer camp. There is an option to stay at the old retreat center for $30 per night. It will be bunkhouse style housing at the retreat center.

Background Check

We are requiring all volunteers to complete their own background check. This background check will cost somewhere around $10 depending on any extra county fees that may be added. We will have an email and text sent to you with instructions for filling out the background check once we have processed your application. Please complete this background check process as soon as possible. We recommend having your background check completed at least one week prior to arrival for the session you are hoping to volunteer for. If we do not have your background check results before the session begins, you will not be allowed to volunteer.

I commit that I have never abused children (either sexual abuse, physical abuse, or emotional abuse) or been convicted or arrested for child abuse.

I commit that I will abide by all of Camp Wyldewood's Child Protection Policies

I understand that Camp Wyldewood maintains a "zero tolerance" policy to child abuse, and that any staff member or volunteer found in opposition to or violating this policy may be terminated immediately.

I commit to attending training and educational events provided by Camp Wyldewood to keep informed of all policies regarding child abuse.

I commit that I will not show inappropriate pictures or videos, use inappropriate sexual or vulgar language, touch children inappropriately, or participate in sexual horseplay with children.

I commit to immediately report any behavior that seems suspicious, questionable, abusive, or inappropriate between: peer to peer, staff to child, and staff to staff.

I understand that ALL reporting (by law) is kept confidential and will in no way harm my position with Camp Wyldewood unless false allegations are found to be made.

I understand that child sexual abuse is punishable by law and that Camp Wyldewood is bound by law to report allegations of sexual abuse to the proper authorities.

General Information

You will receive food and lodging for your services. There is a slight possibility that you will be in a cabin with a group of kids and one or two counselors. Your agreement to work with Camp Wyldewood means that you agree to be under the direction of the Camp Wyldewood staff and that you will abide by all of our child protection policies.
