Apply for our Dorset Team Events - 2024
We have FOUR events open for applications currently - more dates may be added (option on the form to register interest) 

Please note, we are full for jewellery at our events. Any further jewellery applications will be added to our waiting list.

A Dorset Christmas Fair 
Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 
Tank Museum - Bovington (Near Wareham)

Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December

Each event is open to the public from 10am - 4pm 

We are looking for:
  • Makers - Crafts, Arts, Handmade etc 
  • Food and Drink stalls 
  • Vintage 
  • Local, independent shops
  • Both Etsy AND non Etsy sellers
Unfortunately we can't take any bookings for catering vans but instead looking for "giftable" food and drink stalls. We can accept alcohol stalls for the A Dorset Christmas Fair only. We are not looking for Avon, Tropics etc. 

Whilst we are predominately an ETSY group, we have opened up our group to include other makers and creative so you are welcome to join us whether or not you are selling on Etsy.

Pricing:

£50 per stall, per day 

Table and chairs provided for each stall unless you prefer to bring your own table/display 
6ft x 2ft space 
Wristbands for the A Dorset Christmas are included for you and your stall helper(s)

About the Dorset Team 

The Dorset Team is run by Rachel from The Dorothy Days (https://www.thedorothydays.com https://www.instagram.com/thedorothydays/ ) who is a knitwear designer and maker and spent many years running her own Etsy shop (and still does!) 

The Dorset Team started as a community group for local Etsy sellers and Etsy's name for this is "team" hence the name. Our Dorset Team was featured by Etsy on many occasions and was hand selected by Etsy to come to their community summits around the world. 

During lockdowns, we were asked by many other creatives and makers if they could join our community so have expanded to also accept non-Etsy sellers in both our community and events.

Our events have been running for over 10 years and have a good reputation and footfall. 

Requirements:
  • Complete a risk assessment
  • Have Public Liability Insurance (1 million for fairs at Wimborne, 5 million for fairs at the Tank Museum)
  •  Ensure that your products meet all legal requirements and that you are not selling copyrighted products 
Food sellers:
- Food hygiene certificate 

Alcoholic drinks 
- You will need your personal license, refusal list and challenge 25 in place 

FAQ

Can I sell with you if I am outside of Dorset?
Yes!

Can I just sell one day of a two day event?
Yes - there is the option to sell either day or both days of each event 

Are the events well advertised and attended?
Yes - the events are well known about locally and we do lots of advertising in the lead up to the events so our events are well attended. We normally get around 1000 people through the doors. There were queues both days last year for our A Dorset Christmas Fair with our 2023 A Dorset Christmas event attracting just under 4000 people!

Tables measuring approximately 6ft x 2ft will be provided to you along with a chair (another chair available on request) Please let me know here if you do not need a table (for example you are having a rail instead) or if you prefer to bring your own table instead. Chairs will be provided for all stalls. Please note, there isn't power access but you are welcome to bring battery powered lights if you want to enhance your stall

If you wish to stall share rather than take a full pitch at any of the events please state the person you would like to stall share with here and for which events. The fee is £50 for the stall (£25 each)

The A Dorset Christmas Fair is a ticketed event for visitors, please tick to acknowledge you are aware of this. Tickets will be available from the tank museum website.

Do you agree that you need to provide your public liability insurance certificate and risk assessment to sell at the event and within the deadline set. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation and forfeit of your stall. *
Do you agree to being added to the stallholders mailing list  *
This will be used to send you all the information about set up times, getting to the venue etc and will only be used for the purposes of communicating important fair info to stallholders such as the status of your application or important information about the fair such as set up information. This will be kept securely. Legally I have to ask you to agree to be added to the mailing list
Copyrighted products are not permitted - do you agree that you will not bring products which are copyrighted (even if they are your own handmade products)

Please do not bring items to the fair  which have copyrighted designs as, unless you have a license, it is illegal to sell these even if they are your own handmade items.

Copyrighted designs include Hello Kitty, Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, Minions etc.
