The Vanport Mosaic and community partners invite you to a FREE, virtual conversation facilitated by Vanport Mosaic’s Community Weaver, Chisao Hata to activate and support memories, trauma, concerns and visions permeating Old Town today. Listening and sharing a wide variety of issues in an authentic and meaningful way, we will explore the historic role of Old Town, what we love and fear, and what we are collectively creating and how we can meet the challenges to RECLAIM the landscape of Old Town as a place all Portlanders can call home.

Since January 2021 the Vanport Mosaic has been holding dialogues with Portlanders who deeply care about the present and future of Old Town. Together we REMEMBER Old Town's multiethnic and multiracial past, REPAIR and RECLAIM collectively RE-IMAGINE the future of Portland's oldest surviving historic neighborhood.
This dialogue is part of STORIES IN MOVEMENT, a program created by community weaver/artist/facilitator CHISAO HATA and story midwife LAURA LO FORTI as part of the OFFICE OF COMMUNITY & CIVIC LIFE’S CONSTRUCTING CIVIC DIALOGUES INITIATIVE.
