In honor of Zion St. John's upcoming 150th Anniversary celebration, the anniversary planning committee asks for your stories of faith to be used in a devotional book for the year 2025.
Submissions should be based on a Bible verse or a Christian song or hymn, but can then tell a story about a memory of Zion St. John or simply why the verse or song is special to you. Minimum word count is 200 words, maximum word count is 500 hundred words. We encourage you to submit reflections on your confirmation verse, a verse or song that has brought you strength or comfort, or anything else that you feel may help us remember our roots as a congregation and look forward to a Christ filled future.
FAQ:
Who can submit? Anyone who has ever been affiliated with Zion St. John. We welcome stories from former members, current members, future members, and friends of the congregation.
What if I have the same verse or song as someone else? Bible passages and songs have meaning to everyone for different reasons. We invite you to share your unique perspective without worrying about duplication.
Can I submit more than one? ABSOLUTELY! Our goal is to have 365 devotions to span an entire year, so we would love for people to share as many thoughts and prayers as they feel moved to.
Please note: the editors of the devotional book may contact you to ask for help in editing for clarity or additional detail where necessary. Especially if you are not a current member of Zion St. John, please be sure to completely fill out the contact information section. If you are submitting a song, please include the artist so that they can be credited appropriately in the book.
