GEO-UMB Bargaining Platform Ratification
As part of bargaining for our 2020-2023 contract, we're going to all of our membership and asking you to sign and ratify our Bargaining Platform--which is the document we'll use to inform our decisions and how we fight when we go into bargaining with the university. It is *IMPORTANT* that you fill out this form with correct information so that we can use it properly, and so that your voice and VOTE are heard.

Note that in order to sign this ratifying platform, you must be a dues-paying member of the GEO-UAW 1596; you are in our unit if you are a Graduate Assistant on UMass Boston's campus. I agree that the GEO-UAW should negotiate in good faith on behalf of the graduate employees at UMass Boston to achieve the goals - found on our website - to improve the quality of life and working conditions for graduate employees. I understand that approving goals does not guarantee that all of these goals will be secured in the final collective bargaining agreement. Furthermore, I understand that the bargaining committee will keep me informed of progress in bargaining and will allow me to provide my input and feedback throughout the process.
