Innis Herald Podcast Contributions!
Thank you for contributing to the Innis Herald! We appreciate your talents and so we sought to grant you a chance to show off your work here, on the Innis Herald's Podcast! Catherine Dumé (one of the creators of the podcast) being a writer herself, knew how integral it is for young writers to gain exposure for their work, and that being interviewed really boost their morale to keep writing.

So we created "Herald Highlights" a mini series on our podcast show

If you have an article, short story/novel chapter, or poem that you have submitted to the Innis Herald's recent issues, and would like to show off your work, please fill out this form to declare your intent to have your work showcased.
The Innis Herald is only able to conduct one interview and or showcase one article (where members of the masthead discuss the piece and provide credit but will not interview) for each episode.  So we will try to cover your work!
The selected contributor(s) will receive an email to set a time for a virtual recording  on zoom (if they wanted an interview).

NOTE: Time is of the essence, thus please respond to your emails in a fairly quick manner, as we are on a tight schedule. If we do not receive a response  within a week, we will have to turn to the runner ups. However, we will make sure to consider you for the next episode.
We will also be prioritizing new submissions who have not been showcased before on the podcast! That does not mean you can't submit multiple applications, but we will consider those who haven't had a chance yet first!

Rules:
  • Contributions have to be recently published (or in the process of being published) submissions to the Innis Herald Newspaper (no past-year submissions or outside submissions)
  • All U of T students who have contributed to the Herald for at least 1 issue can apply
  • Contributions can be any written work: articles, short stories, or poems that have been published in the Innis Herald.
  • Submissions must not contain any foul, defamatory language, target particular individuals, or promote discrimination on the issues of race/ability/gender/religious beliefs.
  • If any submission is found to contain such things, the masthead is free to deny its application to be showcased on the podcast.
  • All written submissions that were sent by writer's consent to be showcased will permanently added to the Innis Herald's podcast catalogue.
