Citizen Science for Building Knowledge about Wisconsin's Cover Crops 
Let's make cover crops work for Wisconsin! Our project -- heading into its fifth year -- gathers information from farmers around the state about how growers are putting cover cropping and other soil health building strategies into practice.

Interested in participating?

Contributing farmers fill out a survey (online or on paper) on cover crop practices and supply a fall and spring cover crop biomass sample (we provide a sampling kit). In return participants receive a cash honorarium along with personalized biomass results plus nutrient and forage analyses. We will also share our findings on cover crop use and performance around the state. Join us!

 We appreciate your interest in improving cover crops and aim to protect your privacy and respect your time:  Any field data you provide will never be associated with any personal information. We'll provide you cover crop analysis specific to your farm as well as a summary of statewide findings. Your participation is voluntary and you can leave the project at any time.
