MLQ Manager Application
Thank you for your interest in managing or assistant managing an MLQ franchise. Please note the MLQ schedule will be made public in mid-January. In regards to MLQ Championship, the play for official MLQ teams will be on Saturday and Sunday. The play for practice squads will be on Sunday. Manager roles will extend from time of hiring until Sept. 15, unless a manager is invited to continue within their role. You must primarily reside in the city for which you are applying during that time.

You will be notified via email if you will be moving to the interview stage.

  1. An athlete tries out for and rosters for your MLQ team, however, they cannot afford the cost to participate in the MLQ season. How would you handle this?
  2. A volunteer you recruited drops out the week of the series, how do you adapt?
  3. This season, MLQ enters its ninth year. Some players have been with us since our league's inaugural season, while others will experience their first seasons this summer. With the differences in culture, thought process, age, and maturity between members on your team, how will you work to build a cohesive and welcome community on and off the pitch while maintaining age-appropriate interactions?
  4. Walk us through how you would plan team travel for an away series. Please include transportation, housing and other logistical aspects.
  5. A player mentions having issues with planned travel logistics for an upcoming series--they cannot make any of the available departure times and do not have their own method of transportation. What is your process for working with them to reach a solution?
  6. A player indicates that they have been harassed by another member of the team but indicates they are worried talking about it could affect the team's performance. How do you immediately respond to the player?
