The Dr Roger Grace Memorial Award for Marine Conservation is seeking to support early career conservationists with their projects and/or further study. Please provide details of how you or your nominee plan to use the $1000 prize.

  • Availability on the weekend of April 19th-21st 2024 for the awards ceremony. If the recipient is really not available, we can look at doing a virtual award ceremony. 
  • The cost of transport and registration for the recipient to the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust Annual Wananga and awards ceremony held in Whananaki, Northland will be covered by the Roger Grace Memorial Trust. This does not include travel costs associated with plus ones.
  • The recipient must provide a one page report on how the $1000 was spent within 12 months of the award ceremony
  • The final decision for this award is made by the Roger Grace Memorial Fund committee, based on the application of the applicant/nominee
