Invitation to take part in Davenies Superstars Day

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am pleased to let you know that your child has been selected to represent the school in a Year 4 Superstars Festival to be held on Tuesday 3rd October 2023, at Davenies School, 73 Station Road, Beaconsfield, HP9 1AA.

The idea is to centre up to twelve different activities around the all-weather surfaces and sports hall. These may include a team running event, an obstacle course, a team challenge, football penalties, basketball shooting, hockey dribbling and tug-o war.

Children should wear their P.E kit to school on that day. They should also have a named water bottle to take with them. The children will be playing outside so suitable warm layers will be needed.

Please collect your child from the Junior School main entrance at 2.30pm so we are ready for a 3pm start at Davenies School. Children can be dropped off with Mrs Rooney outside the Sports Hall at Davenies School.

Davenies School say that there is no on-site parking at Davenies for parents. Please use either the 2 hours of free parking in Sainsbury’s in the new town of Beaconsfield or look for alternative parking elsewhere and walk in. They envisage a maximum walk of 10 minutes from any direction. Their ‘Sainsbury’s Gate’ will be open to allow parents to walk into Davenies from the Sainsbury’s car park. This is located at the far left hand corner of the car park.

Finish time will be 5pm. Please collect from the main Davenies field.

Please reply by Wednesday 26th September giving your child permission to attend or informing us if they are not able to take part in this event. Paper reply slips can be returned to the school office via class registers.

We are asking parents to arrange transport to and from this event. The team list will be posted on the sports notice board in the dining hall and we are asking children and parents to check this list to see who else is taking part and to co-ordinate lifts. We will contact you nearer the time to confirm who will be taking and collecting your child.
